The Pregnant Man Goes for Baby #2

Thomas Beatie is expecting again after the birth of his daughter.

After becoming a sensation as the world's first "pregnant man," Thomas Beatie has announced that he is pregnant again, reports Us magazine.

Beatie revealed recently to Barbara Walters during an interview that he was in his first trimester.

Reportedly, he told Walters that because he wanted another baby that he simply did not return to taking testosterone after his first daughter, Susan, was born back in June.

And so far things are all good.

"I feel good," Beatie told Walters. "I had my checkups with my hormone level, as far as the HCG. And everything is right on track."

So, how does all this work?

Beatie was born a woman, but underwent operations to have his breasts removed, took hormone supplements and has even legally changed his gender.

If the operation sounds painful, Beatie also told Walters that baby Susan came the old fashion way after 40 hours of labor. Ouch!

Beatie said that wife, Nancy, was right beside him and got to cut the umbilical cord.

Beatie first appeared on Oprah last April and explained that his female organs were kept in hopes that someday he would have children.

Having children, Beatie told Oprah, was a "human desire" not a feminine one and that as a person he had "the right to have my own biological child."

He had joked with Winfrey about the issue, saying, "It doesn't make me want to go and shave my legs or something."

"I'm a man, I just happen to be a pregnant man."

Despite his family being unconventional, Beatie wants people to know, "Different is normal and love makes a family. And that's all that matters."

May he be wished well.
