The news of a pregnant, transgender male has taken Hollywood by storm. There is no way to get away from the story in a supermarket checkout line. Every magazine wants to feed you the interesting tale. Soon, it seems that you won't be able to turn on a TV without seeing it also. Entertainment Weekly has reported that a television movie is in the works.

Thomas Beatie was born a woman, but found that he identified himself as a man. A decade ago, he decided to take steps to become more physically like a male, to match how he felt. He had his breasts removed, but none of his reproductive organs. Since then, he has married and is ready to start a family. However, his wife is not able to conceive. So the couple decided that he would carry the baby.

The news has perked a lot of interest. People has interviewed the couple. They were also recently seen on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Now it seems that a producer is shopping the story around to a bunch of networks, including Lifetime and a cable channel. No network has been set, but between you and me, doesn't this have Lifetime written all over it?
