Prince William Learns To Fly
According to Britian's News of the World, the heir to the British Throne, Prince William, joined other recruits at the Royal Air Force's Cranwell base in Lincolnshire to begin his pilot training.
William's formal training was announced in October 2007 in part to aid William with all parts of armed forces training. He will spend the next four months training with the air force. William is currently a second lieutenant in the British Army but will be known as Flying Officer Wales in the RAF.
"We are trying to treat him as much as we can like another student, and that is as much for his benefit as ours. He will get a better picture of what motivates our guys, which is important for him to understand what makes the air force tick," explains Squadron Leader Roger Bousfield.
