Professor Portman's Class in Session

Natalie Portman acted as a stand-in professor for a Columbia University class this week.

Monday's "Terrorism and Counterterrorism" course at Columbia University was taught by none other than Harvard graduate Natalie Portman.

While she received a hearty welcome from the students, there is still no word on exactly why she was chosen to lead the course. There is even some speculation that the event was nothing but a publicity stunt for her upcoming movie "V for Vendetta," which will be released next Friday, March 17th.

The film stars Portman as a girl who is rescued from the secret police by the vigilante known only as "V." The two band together to fight against their futuristic totalitarian society.

Portman is known for her work in films such as "Closer," "Garden State," and "Star Wars: Episodes I, II, III."
