Project Runway Moves from Bravo to Lifetime

Project Runway, fashion reality show, has moved from Bravo to Lifetime for $150 million.

Project Runway, a fashion-based reality show, has moved from its home on the Bravo channel to Lifetime, Tuesday, according to Daily News.

In a shocking move, Bravo's successful series made a deal with the Lifetime channel, said to be worth about $150 million. However, they can't celebrate yet. Weinstein Co., who owns Runway, is being sued by NBC Universal, who owns Bravo.

According to Daily News, NBCU officials say that their company has the first right of refusal to the show and, by taking it to Lifetime, the brothers who own Weinstein Co., Harvey and Bob, have broken its contract. While the Weinstein attorney says the suit won't last, the Lifetime channel couldn't be more excited.

Per the new agreement, five cycles of Project Runway are set to air on the new channel, with the first coming out in November. Also part of the deal, according to Daily News, Lifetime bought a package of movies from the Weinstein brothers, including Miss Potter, The Nanny Diaries and The Great Debaters.
