Project Runway Season 6 Episode 11 Recap

Last night the designers started out with their back to the runway and when they turned around there were a winning piece by each one of them. Logan never won a competition so someone picked a design from an early episode. The designers must make a companion piece to the winning one. Irina complains about people who are still in that should be home. The more episodes, the more wins she has, and the bitchier she becomes. Logan even has nicknamed her "meana-Irina" and wishes the judges would bring her down a notch.

Logan is taking the few zippers he used in his previous piece and is multiplying it by 100. Okay, it was only 40 zippers. Carol Hannah wants to do pants to show range but Tim talks her out of it and tells her to stay in her comfort zone. Althea thinks Carol Hannah is a one-trick pony but only behind the back. Althea does a pantsuit, which Logan says, looks like Malvin's "chicken pants" from another episode. Althea thinks Logan is stealing her idea of a complete zipper collar. Irina's first look was an Aspen woman, so she works on a "work" look which turns into an evening look.

Tim visits and helps Carol's big mess become a break through. He is excited by Irina's work and thinks Christopher's new look is for the mother of the youthful dress. Althea's pants look like they could use a diaper. Tim likes Logan's look.

Runway! Nick from the second season was back and he now teaches at The Fashion Institute of Design. Nina was back so no Michael Kors and a Kerry Washington, an actress and L'oreal spokesperson.

Nina like Irina's sweater but called her brocade dress cheap. Nick, Kerry and Heidi liked Irina's dress. Nick calls it "uptown chic" so no smack down. Carol Hannah's dress is loved by all ad the judges even like the pockets. It is a fairy dress, light and fun. The judges love Althea's shawl sweater and "paper bags" pants. Heidi makes the big mistake and asks who did the sweater thing first. Irina lightly accuses Althea of stealing the Aspen sweater but it doesn't matter the judges' love it and vote Althea the winner.

The judges told Christopher that his dress was to bottom heavy and looks like a bed shirt on the bottom. Gordana's suit is described as old, drab, and sad. Nina said Logan's outfit looked like a student's work and Nick described it as a Judy Jetson dress. The bottom two are Gordana and Logan. Logan is out. Guess a risk would be something with fewer zippers.
