Project Runway Season Six Episode Seven Recap

Project Runway's challenge this week was the designers had to make two outfits in blue for the Ink Brand. The winner would have their deign sold in Macy's stores. Oh, and it is a team challenge. I know, another team challenge. But Michael Kors is back! Yes, isn't it wonderful!

Okay, back to teams, the color blue, and fashion. Althea was team captain and she picked Logan. They did a woman's suit without the stereotypes and a high pant with a ruffled shirt. No problems working together and Tim gives them a move on. What happen to the "make it work?" On the runway the suit skirt travels up the models leg and the pant set looks messy but they get to move on to the next round. What? Really?

The high scored teams are Carol Hannah (leader) and Shirin. In the workroom Shirin whines and works. Tim isn't thrilled about the leggings but loves the pencil dress and tunic shirt. But even with the leggings Tim hated they made it to the top two teams. Their outfits where neat and would integrate well with anyone's closet.

The winner was person in charge, Irina and partner Gordana. It was a shaky start. Irina just said "No, don't do this or that," and didn't give directions to Gordana on what to do. Tim showed up and his questions where answered differently by Irina and Gordana. Good job team! But they won. A striped dress with a low cut, solid bra top was cut well and the Ink lady judge could see the costumers stopping in and buying the dress. The judges described the low cut scrunch shirt as romantic. I would describe it as crooked.

"O captain! My captain" Christopher and shipmate Epperson ended up on the bottom. I was very upset about this! Their outfit was well made; they just didn't go together as a pair. But the two boys got along together so well. He made a shiny man business shirt dress for a woman. The judges said it looked like a tablecloth. The shirt and leggings outfit had a small ruffle under the neck. Heidi said it looked like a "disco pumpkin." I didn't even understand what Heidi meant. What is a "disco pumpkin?" Anyway, Christopher breaks down crying.

Louise our bird caller leader picks Nicolas. Nicolas is so glad he has immunity for this round because he hates Louise's ruffles. Nic tells everyone, ruffles are there to cover flaws and ruffles make him sick. Got it Nic. He makes the dresses with the ruffles and she makes a dress with ruffles. On the runway Heidi makes it very clear he is very lucky to have immunity. No, really lucky. So happy Michael's back when he says they look like unwearable bridesmaids dresses. Nicolas is in for next round along with Epperson.

Now the tease is two could be out. It is down to Christopher and Louise. Chris is still crying and I am outraged he made it to the bottom next to Louise. Louise is out. Pause. And Chris is in. Now I can breath again. Stupid tease!
