Prosecutors keep eye on Madonna show
Crucifixion stunt could violate country's laws
Prosecutors in Duesseldorf plan to keep an eye on Madonna's show this weekend to see if she performs her controversial crucifixion routine, according to the Associated Press.
Johannes Mocken, a spokesman for prosecutors in Duesseldorf told the AP, a repeat of that scene during Sunday's concert could be construed as insulting religious beliefs. He added they will not be sending people to the concert instead relying on media reports.
The crucifixion, in which Madonna wears a fake crown of thorns, has come under fire from Christian leaders, but Madonna's camp has denied the scene is disrespectful toward the church.
