Prosecutors Say Involuntary Manslaughter for Michael Jackson's Doctor

The doctor accused of Michael Jackson's death is facing involuntary maslaughter.

Being held responsible for one the world’s greatest pop figure is hard to swallow. That is what Dr. Conray Murray might have to face, as he will be charged with involuntary manslaughter with the death of Michael Jackson.

A felony of this case can have a maximum penalty of up to four years in prison.

After another thorough inspection of the singer’s body, the coroner ruled that the death was caused by an overdose of propofol, a powerful anesthetic to help insomniacs. In this case, Murray, a trusted doctor, administered strong doses of the drug along with other sedative to allegedly treat the King of Pop.

The Los Angeles police department said they want Murray to be brought in the courthouse by handcuffs, which prosecutors feel is unnecessary as Murray has no criminal record. Since Murray has stated he felt he had done nothing wrong, it is unknown whether or not he will surrender himself to the police station or be arrested and brought into court in handcuffs.
