Prostitute at Center of Eliot Spitzer Scandal to Do Her First TV Interview

Diane Sawyer has interviewed the woman who was at the heart of the Eliot Spitzer sex scandal.

Ashley Dupre was thrust into the limelight for her part in a political scandal. She was visited by New York's Eliot Spitzer, sparking one of the biggest sex scandals in New York political history. This week, Miss Dupre sat down with Diane Sawyer for an interview that will be part of a 20/20 series on prostitution.

Part of the deal to be interviewed is rumored to be a "large consulting fee," according to the Web site, Gawker, that broke the story. The story is focusing on prostitution, and an anonymous source inside ABC told New York Daily News, "People who think this is all about Eliot Spitzer are going to be disappointed."

The scandal caused Spitzer to resign as governor of New York, although there were no criminal charges filed against the former governor.
