Pushing Daisies

After the owner of the Papen County Dam, Roland Stingwell, is found dead downstream with his precious ruby diamond missing, Emerson is hired to solve the murder despite a bitter history he had with Stingwell.

In short, Emerson was hired by Stingwell a long time ago to make sure his girlfriend, Lila Robinson, wasn't cheating on him. During his investigation, Emerson finds out that Lila is only with Stingwell to steal his ruby and the two form a relationship that they can't hide once Lila gets pregnant.

Now, as Emerson investigates Stingwell's death, Lila appears to be back for the ruby after the dam owner confesses to seeing her before he died. But, as always, the mystery is never solved that easily.

The mysterious Lila corners Emerson in his office to claim her innocence, and that if he doesn't her prove it she'll disappear with his daughter forever.

Emerson's girlfriend, Simone, teams up this time with Chuck, Ned and Olive to help watch over Lila as Emerson spends his time trying to find the real murderer so he can see his daughter, Penny.
