The CW network has ordered eight episodes of a reality series to be called, "The Search for the Next Pussycat Doll," according to Reuters. The CW said certain elements of the show will be broadcast live.

"At its core, this show goes beyond just finding a new Pussycat Doll; it's about female empowerment, self-discovery and personal transformation," Dawn Ostroff, CW's president of entertainment told Reuters.

The group got its start 10 years ago, as a burlesque group of rotating dancers and guest celebrities. Their debut album "PCD" has sold over five million copies.
