Quaid and Tatum in G.I. Joe

Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum are set to star in the new G.I. Joe movie.

Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum are set to play the lead in the new "G.I. Joe movie," according to Variety.

Quaid will play General Hawk, the team leader and Tatum will play Duke Hauser, the lead soldier in the picture that is scheduled to shoot next month in Los Angeles.

The film, directed by Stephen Sommers, will also star actors such as Marlon Wayans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Sienna Miller among others.

"G.I. Joe" is preliminarily scheduled to be released on August 7, 2009.
