Queen Latifah lands talk show host gig

Queen Latifah is well on her way to conquering every aspect of the entertainment industry.

Not only is she an accomplished actress, singer, and spokesperson, but USA Today reported Latifah will soon be adding talk show host to her resume.

The 41-year-old's production company, Overbrook Entertainment, and Will and Jada Smith's production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment, announced Monday they were teaming up with Sony Pictures Television to produce a new daytime show.

This isn't Latifah's first job as a talk show host, but her previous gig only lasted two seasons from 1999 to 2001.

Cinema Blend reported Overbook is very excited about the new project.

Miguel Melendez, president of Overbrook Management, said the company and Latifah go way back to her appearance on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1991, and that "this forum is the perfect place to showcase Latifah’s tremendous range of talents and unique ability to connect and inspire people.”

Since Oprah ended her hosting duties earlier this year, do you think the Queen could reign over daytime talk shows too?
