R. Kelly's Latest Busting Out the Closet

The singer/songwriter's newest release, boasting the five-part song tale "In the Closet," holds strong at No. 1 on the charts for the second week.

For the second week in a row, R & B singer R. Kelly has held on top the U.S. pop charts with his album TP. 3 reloaded selling a reported 139,000 copies last week. This will bring the album's total sales at 635,000 but consequently equating with a 71.5% plunge since its debut week. Kelly's album, released by Jive Records, continues to battle it out with another recent release by rapper Slim Thug with his album "Already Platinum." Slim Thug's estimated sales were at 129,000 copies topping at No. 2 on the Billboard charts. As well, hip hop youth Bow Wow finished off the top three with his release of "Wanted." His single "Let Me Hold You" off the aforementioned album is topping a major set of U.S. markets seeking to be his first number one hit.

Coldplay's album "X&Y" is down a notch at the number four spot and Mariah Carey's "The Emancipation of Mimi" similarly slips to number 5 this week. The countdown back has The All-American Rejects album "Move Along" moving at number 6. Missy Elliot's "The Cookbook" has reduced itself from its spot at number 2 down to number 7 this week. "Monkey Business" by the Black Eyed Peas hold at number 8 and "USA (United States of Atlanta" by the Ying Yang Twins have dropped from the 5 to the number 9 spot.
