Rabbi Boteach Releases "The Michael Jackson Tapes"

Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is releasing a book about the late Michael Jackson based on 30-hours of taped interviews

"The Michael Jackson Tapes" by Rabbi Shmuley Boteach is a book based on 30 hours of taped interviews that Boteach had with the late Michael Jackson.

Boteach claims the taped conversations were made with Jackson's permission.

The book expresses Jackson's feelings about aging, women, his father and his appearance. Jackson confessed "I don't want to be seen now, because I am like a lizard. It is horrible."

He has also said during the tapes "I don't want to grow old. I never want to look in the mirror and see that."

Shmuley Boteach is an orthodox Jewish rabbi and was introduced to Jackson through Uri Gellar, a British entertainer, in 1999.

For many years Boteach acted as a confidant to the pop singer and at times the transcribed tapes sound like counseling sessions.

Beach says the book was originally set to release in 2003 and the tapes were made by him and Jackson with the intent to give the public a more accurate image of the entertainer.
