Rachel Weisz to Move into the ‘Dream House’
Rachel Weisz has signed on to star opposite Daniel Craig and Naomi Watts in the Jim Sheridan-helmed thriller, Dream House, from Morgan Creek Productions.
According to an article on HollywoodReporter.com, “Weisz plays the wife of a New York publishing executive (Craig), who relocates his family to a quaint New England town, only to discover their perfect home was the murder scene of a mother and her two children. With production on Dream House now under way in Toronto, Universal is set to distribute in North America.”
Both Universal and Morgan Creek will sell the motion picture worldwide.
Weisz’s past credits include the 2008 romantic dramedy, Definitely, Maybe, opposite Ryan Reynolds, the 2007 family comedy, Fred Claus, opposite Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti, the 2006 science fiction romantic drama, The Fountain, opposite Hugh Jackman, the 2005 thriller, The Constant Gardener, opposite Ralph Fiennes, the 2005 thriller, Constantine, opposite Keanu Reeves and Shia LaBeouf and the 2003 film adaptation of the John Grisham novel, Runaway Jury, opposite John Cusack, Gene Hackman, Dustin Hoffman, Jeremy Piven and Jennifer Beals.
As for Craig, aside from playing the current British debonair secret agent, James Bond, Craig has also starred in the 2005 historical drama, Munich, opposite Eric Bana, the 2007 family fantasy film, The Golden Compass, opposite Nicole Kidman and the 2008 war drama, Defiance, opposite Liev Schreiber.
Watts’s previous credits include the 2002 Gore Verbinski-directed horror, The Ring, and its 2005 sequel, The Ring Two, as well as the 2003 romantic dramedy, Le divorce, opposite Kate Hudson and the 2003 dramedy, I Heart Huckabees, opposite James Schwartzman, Dustin Hoffman, Lily Tomlin and Jude Law.
