Rapper Dolla Buried in Atlanta
Konvict Muzik artist Dolla, who was killed on May 18, was buried in Atlanta on the afternoon of May 23 in a traditional Muslim ceremony, according to ThisIs50.com.
Hundreds of mourners gathered at the Word of Faith Love Center to commemorate the slain rapper. Several friends and family dressed in white attire in Janazah tradition. Dolla, murdered at the age of 21, was draped in a cream-colored sheet.
According to Dolla's cousin, rapper Scrapp DeLeon, Dolla was not afraid of death and wanted people to wear white and celebrate his life at his funeral. Born Wilbert Robinson, Scrapp was present at the time of Dolla's shooting death in Los Angeles.
On May 22, fans, friends and family paid homage at the Murray Brothers Funeral Home in Atlanta for Dolla's wake.
He was buried at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
Atlanta music promoter Aubrey Berry, 23, is Dolla's suspected killer and is being held on $5 million bond.
