Ratings from Lohan's Betty Episode Disappointing

After noticing the bump in ratings Britney Spears had on How I Met Your Mother, the higher-ups at Ugly Betty figured that troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan would also give their show a huge ratings boost.

But she didn't.

Lohan's appearance on the show's season finale (where she played a mean girl from Betty's high school fallen on hard times) only increased the ratings by 300,000, to a total of 8.8 million viewers.

Betty, like most television shows this season, except for American Idol, experienced a drop in its finale ratings. Specifically, the Golden Globe winner was down 16.2 percent from its 2007 finale, a double digit drop that has also hurt popular shows like CSI and Grey's Anatomy, which were both defeated by each Dancing with the Stars episode last week.

While Lohan's appearance disappointed in the ratings, Betty still came in a respectable 17th place for the week in a finale-heavy week.

Expect to see more of Lohan next season too, because she is slated to appear in five additional episodes in the show's third season.
