Ratner acquires ‘The Unknowns’
Director Brett Ratner’s Rat Entertainment has just purchased the film rights to The Unknowns from Femme Fatales Comics.
According to an article on Variety.com, “Story centers around Alexis Davenport, who while living a seemingly ordinary life discovers she was actually once the highly skilled and deadly leader of a mysterious team called The Unknowns and must learn the secret of why her memories were erased and by who.”
The film, based on the comic created by Mark A. Altman, Steve Kriozere, and model Monica Olsen, will be produced by Ratner.
"We think The Unknowns will be a great new comic book/action franchise," said Ratner, who's in pre-production as a producer on New Line's Horrible Bosses.
John Cheng will be film’s executive producer/showrunner, and he will oversee it for Rat Entertainment. A director has yet to be chosen to helm the film.
