Baltimore Ravens linebacker has been fined $25,000 by the NFL for two separate incidents in Sunday's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis is being fined $25,000 by the NFL for two separate incidents in last Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals, reports the Miaimi Herald. Lewis is being fined for a helmet-to-helmet hit with Bengals wide receiver Chad Ochocinco and for kicking an unspecified player on another play.
An NFL spokesperson said Friday Lewis was fined for hitting a "defenseless" Ochocinco, according to Reutes Canada. The play resulted in a 15-yard penalty.
ESPN states Lewis is appealing the $25,000 fine. The week prior, Lewis was not fined for criticizing officials in a Ravens loss to the New England Patriots.
