Real Housewives Star Admits to Stripper Past

Nene Leakes admitted to having a previous career as a stripper.

The outspoken cast member of the reality television show "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" had been questioned several times about being a stripper. Leakes constantly denied the claims until recently when she admitted that the rumors were indeed true.

In Leakes's memoir "Never Make The Same Mistake Twice," she explains that she was a stripper but it was for a purpose.

"My son was in private school, his father wasn't chipping in for pull-ups or food, I had no job and no money coming in, the rent was past due, and the super told me and my roommate that our condo owner was about to put us out. It was about survival."

On "Real Housewives," Leakes is widely known for her ongoing feud with her fellow cast mate, Kim Zolciak. The two have gone through several public altercations that have turned physical.
