Real World's Frankie Dies

Frankie Abernathy of MTV's "Real World: San Diego" died Saturday at the age of 25. The punk rock chick suffered from cystic fibrosis, a genetic disease that leads to life-threatening lung infections. It is unknown if that is what ultimately caused her death. She died at her mother's home in Wisconsin.

During the "San Diego" season Abernathy had difficulty breathing and an impaired immune system, both symptoms of her disease. She fought with her roommates and missed her boyfriend so much that she left the Real World house before the season ended.
