A Reason to Worry About Paula Abdul?

If Paula Abdul wants to quell the rumors that she is perpetually drunk, she's not doing a very good job. According to her publicist, the American Idol judge broke her nose while trying to avoid stepping on her Chihuahua.

The injury comes at an intersting time, with the American Idol finale scheduled to appear on Wednesday. However, David Brokaw, Abdul's publicist, revealed today that the judge is at home recovering, so she should look and feel better for the shows tonight and tomorrow.

Brokaw said, "She's a little sore, but is doing fine. She looks terrific. If you didn't know she broke her nose, you'd never guess anything happened to her."

Paula herself told Extra that she tore the cartilage in her nose and fractured her toe. She joked with the magazine, "I took a nasty fall trying not to hurt my dog. I bruised myself on my arm, my chest, my waist, all the way down to my hip. All from my little chubby Tulip. Tulipy has no remorse. She just stared at me."

Fear not, however. According to Brokaw, Tulip is fine. "For dogs, every day is Saturday," he said.
