Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane welcome a girl

Actress Rebecca Gayheart and her husband, Eric Dane, are the proud parents of a baby girl.

Gayheart, 40, and Dane, 39, welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane, Wednesday. Their elder daughter, Billie Beatrice, was born in March 2010.

"Rebecca Gayheart and husband Eric Dane welcomed Georgia Geraldine Dane on Dec. 28, just in time for the New Year!" a spokesperson for the couple said. "Both mom and baby girl are happy and healthy, Billie is thrilled to be a big sister, and dad is getting ready to live in a house full of ladies!"

In August, Gayheart said she was preparing herself for the daunting task of raising two children under the age of 2.

"I've heard that's very challenging. But I think I'm up for it," she said. "Eventually it's going to be great because they're going to be very close in age and very close, hopefully."

The couple got married in Las Vegas on Oct. 29, 2004.

Gayheart is known for her roles in such TV series as Beverly Hills 90210, Nip/Tuck and Firefly. Her film credits include Scream 2 (1997) and Jawbreaker (1999).

Dane is famous for his role on the TV series, Grey’s Anatomy. His movies include Marley & Me (2008) and Valentine’s Day (2010).
