Reconciliation between Angelina Jolie and Jon Voight?

Recently, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, and all the kids have set up shop in Venice, Italy, pending Jolie's performance in The Tourist opposite Johnny Depp. It looks like the family had an unexpected visitor during their stay: Miss Jolie's father.

Jon Voight and Jolie haven't been on speaking terms since 2001 when Voight appeared on Access Hollywood asking Jolie to seek help for "serious mental problems." Now, several sources report that the two have made amends.

A recent photograph shows the father and daughter actors together, along with Pitt and Jolie's oldest daughter, Zahara.

Friends of the couple report that Pitt played a key role in encouraging Jolie to reconcile with her father.

The source told MSNBC: “Since (Pitt and Jolie) have been together, Brad has been encouraging Angie to smooth things over with her dad. And when it comes to the kids, Brad wants them to know their grandfather the way the kids know his parents.”
