Redskins say Zorn won't be fired this season

The Washington Redskins say they intend on keeping coach Jim Zorn for at least the remainder of the season.

Chiefs vs Redskins

The Washington Redskins have said they will keep coach Jim Zorn for the remainder of the season, amidst rumors that he might be fired midseason, reports the Associated Press. The announcement came from vice president Vinny Cerrato on an ESPN radio show.
Despite playing a very weak schedule, the Redskins are 2-4, according to the Victoria Advocate. They are coming off a 14-6 loss against the previously winless Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. The Redskins face division rivals the Philadelphia Eagles Monday night.
The Washington Post states Zorn was stripped of his playcalling duties after last week's loss to the Chiefs and despite support from his players, his job status has been in question. The question remaining now is whether or not Zorn will keep his job at the end of the season.
