Reese Witherspoon was photographed for the first time since she was accidentally hit by an elderly driver while jogging on Aug. 31. She sported quite the black eye as well as a band-aid on her forehead.
According to TMZ, the actress was caught smiling as she was leaving a friend’s party in Los Angeles yesterday.
After the accident, she did go to a hospital for treatment, but was soon released because doctors said her injuries were minor. Witherspoon said that she will not press charges on the 84-year-old woman who failed to yield to a pedestrian, which caused the incident.
A source close to Witherspoon told Us Magazine that she was “really frightened” by the accident, but is now “resting up.”
The injuries will not stop Witherspoon from taking part in her two latest projects, McG’s This Means War with Tom Hardy and Chris Pine, and Mud with Matthew McConaughey.
