Reese Witherspoon to Wed

Reese Witherspoon will be tying the knot with Jake Gyllenhaal, in a Christmas time celebration, WENN reports.

Gyllenhaal has been proudly raving to all of his friends that he plans to marry the 32-year-old star in December, following the wrap up of his action adventure movie, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. "Jake is telling everyone they are getting married at Christmas," a source says.

And the Brokeback Mountain actor has good reason to be happy . . . or relieved. "He told me he had proposed several times but she kept telling him she wanted to give their relationship more time. When he asked her again a couple of weeks ago, she finally said yes," a source close to the star explains.

Witherspoon and Gyllenhaal met on the set of the film, Rendition, in 2006.
