Regis and Kathie Lee Together Again
It's hard to believe that it was seven years ago that Kathie Lee Gifford left the comfort of her chair on "Live With Regis and Kathie Lee". Another thing added to the "unbelievable" list is that the show is encroaching on their 20th season. In celebration for the big 2-0, Gifford has agreed to be a guest host, according to E!Online. "Our 20th anniversary is a huge milestone for the show," executive producer Michael Gelman said. "Few television shows reach a year on the air, much less two decades." The show starts celebrating its anniversary by looking back at previous shows on September 3rd and concludes the festivities with Gifford's appearance on September 14th. Gifford left the show in 2000 and Kelly Ripa was named the new co-host, of "Live With Regis and Kelly," in 2001, after guest hosting. Gifford joined the show when it was called "The Morning Show" in 1985, which only played in New York. Then the show changed names and became nationally syndicated. She hosted the show for 15 years.
