Regis 'through the worst of it'

Regis Philbin called into 'Live With Regis and Kelly' to let the audience know that after his recent surgery he is doing well despite the pain and shock.

Philbin, 75, underwent heart bypass surgery in mid-March and reported that he is in pain around his heart, as well well as in his back and leg where doctors took arteries for the bypass.

He also had some interesting stories about his pain medication. Philbin claims they have caused him to wander around the house and say some pretty strange things. Like? "I was yelling, 'I haven't had sex in three and half months!"

Philbin is expected to make a full recovery and to return to the the syndicated show in about another month.
