U2 has released the name of their upcoming album, their first one in four years.

It's finally coming. The new U2 album is on its way!

The 11-track album, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb is due out on November 23. Also, we will get the new single, Vertigo by the end of September and an upcoming tour. This is the band's first album since their Grammy winning All That You Can't Leave Behind hit shelves in 2000.

The original foursome, Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. have been recording for the past two years in their native country of Ireland and in France. They have had some help for Steve Lillywhite, producer of their first three albums and former Chris Thomas, the former Sex Pistols producer.

However the question is will the very political Bono be making any of his own statements on AIDS, which he has been involved with for many years, or will there be any songs referencing 9/11?

The band's first album, Boy, was released 24 years ago. Since then the band has sold over 120 million records, had the biggest tour in 2001 and won 14 Grammies. And if that wasn't enough, they are nominated to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame of 2005.

This Irish band became one of the biggest bands in the world and will do it again in November.
