Remembering "The King of Pop"
When remembering Michael Jackson, most people agree that the only word to describe the best of the "King of Pop" is: Talent! He entertained audiences for more than 30 years from the "Jackson 5" to his solo albums, Jackson always brought the crowd some of the best work they had ever seen.
NBC, CBS, ABC, and the cable news networks have all begun running stories of Jackson's death. According to the Washington Post, all the networks are scrambling for news and were prepared to air specials about Farrah Fawcett's death, however, the time and coverage increased when the news of Michael Jackson's death arrived. MTV.com has also provided a retrospective on the life of Jackson. "Thriller . . . this was the moment when the King of Pop was crowned," writes Jayson Rodriguez.
USA Today also reports of the city of New York's gatherings from the Apollo Theater to Greenwich Village, the fans are pouring into the street. Despite the oddities, extravagant lifestyle, and allegations of child molestation, Michael Jackson will continue to sound on the radio and stand among the shoulders of giants of the music industry.
