Report: Charlie Sheen is Leaving 'Two and a Half Men'

Sources say Sheen isn't signing on for another year of the hit sitcom.

Charlie Sheen is supposedly out for the count. People magazine is reporting Sheen is leaving the CBS hit comedy show Two and a Half Men after seven seasons.

“Charlie’s just done. And he’s quietly telling his friends he’s not coming back,” a source tells the mag.

The network reportedly anticipated Sheen signing on for an eight season, but the actor never agreed to the offer. A friend of Sheen’s says to People the actor “wants to move on … leaving is 100% his idea.”

After the April 9 taping of the 22 episode of this season, Sheen’s show contract will be completed. A CBS spokesperson failed to comment on the situation. Sheen’s rep Stan Rosenfield tells People:

“Charlie’s deal is only through this current season.”

No definite reason for Sheen’s reported departure has been verified but the actor has struggled with personal issues lately. He is currently facing domestic violence charges after an alleged altercation with his wife Brooke Mueller. Shortly afterward Sheen checked himself into rehab.
