Report: Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake are engaged

If 2011 turned out to be the year of celebrity divorces, 2012 is already shaping up to be the year of celebrity engagements. According to a report, Justin Timberlake finally popped the question to long-time girlfriend Jessica Biel.

Us Weekly is reporting that several sources have confirmed the engagement. One source said that Timberlake, 30, popped the question to Biel, 29, while the two vacationed in Jackson, Wyoming. “Justin knows how much she loves snowboarding and the mountains, so it was the perfect place," the source said.

According to The New York Daily News, the two had been dating since 2007, although they had broken up for three months earlier in 2011. Another source told Us Weekly that when they got back together, “they had a conversation about taking the next step."

"He knew it was the right time to propose,” yet another source told Us Weekly.

It is important to note, though, that last month, reports that the two were engaged surfaced when a jewelry store in Jackson Hole had speculated that Timberlake bought an engagement ring there, according to MSNBC. However, an insider told Gossip Cop that “I don’t believe this to be true at all — the facts of where they are don’t even add up.”

Still, there have been no comments from Timberlake or Biel’s representatives to confirm or deny Us Weekly’s report.

Biel recently appeared in New Year’s Eve, while Timberlake might actually be considering starring as Elton John in a biopic about the singer, according to a report.
