Report: Lopez and Smirnoff Split

Former Dancing with the Stars tandem Karina Smirnoff and Mario Lopez have broken up, the representative of Smirnoff tells People.

"Karina has parted ways with her two-year relationship with Mario Lopez," says Smirnoff's spokesperson. "The relationship wasn't headed in the right direction."

Lopez, via a statement through his rep, didn't refute the split.

"Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other. She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life."

The former couple was seen together in Miami last month on the beach. They began dating in 2006 when they were paired on ABC's hit reality TV show.

They were initially mum on their relationship, but were seen vacationing together in Mexico shortly after coming in second to Emmitt Smith on Dancing with the Stars.

The following May, according to the publication, the couple moved into together.
