Reports circulate that Nicole Richie is giving birth to her second child.

Is Nicole Richie about to give birth to a brand new bundle of joy?

That's the case according to several media outlets including Radar Online and Entertainment Tonight.

ETonline reports that Richie has checked into a Los Angeles area hospital in preparation to give birth to her second child with rocker, Joel Madden.

Reps for Madden and Richie have yet to release an official statement.

The couple already have a daughter together, Harlow, who was born in January 2008. As with their first child, Madden, 30, and Richie, 27, decided against knowing the baby's gender.

"We want the surprise what is there really to plan?" Richie said on Larry King Live, adding, "I'll get the clothes after."

If the baby makes its debut today, it will have the coveted birthday of 09-09-09. This is the last set of repeating, single-digit calendar dates that we'll see for almost a century.
