Request to delay Brown's trial denied

No more waiting for Brown's trial.

Chris Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos's, request to the California Supreme Court for a delay of the trial date has been denied. The court hearing will still be on June 22 for this R&B entertainer, MSNBC accounted.

Rolling Stone wrote that this is Geragos's second time petitioning the same request. Geragos thinks it is imperative to look at police personnel records in order to cross-examine police witnesses. Thirty days before the trial begins, the defense can request the information, announced the trial judge.

On the date of the Grammy Awards, Feb. 8, it was reported that Chris Brown caused physical injuries to Rihanna, his pop diva girlfriend, in his car on the way to the award show. Later, on Apr. 7, in Los Angeles Superior Court, Brown pleaded not guilty to felony assault charges and criminal threats.

Rihanna will testify against her ex-boyfriend if requested, states Reuters. If convicted, Brown may be sentenced to prison for up to four years.
