The reverend has called for a tribute to Jackson on Tuesday.

According to the Associated Press, the Rev. Al Sharpton has called for "love vigils" for the late Michael Jackson to occur on Tuesday. Sharpton called for a tribute during a sermon that he delivered in Los Angeles on Sunday.

At the First African Methodist Episcopal Church, Sharpton reportedly encouraged parish-goers to gather in schools, churches, and other community centers on Tuesday, the day that Jackson's public memorial service is scheduled to be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

According to the Daily News, Sharpton has already planned to call for a stamp as well as a national day of mourning in order to honor the "King of Pop" and his legacy. Jackson died on June 25 at the age of 50. Details of his death are still being investigated.
