Richard Marx is Back

The hugely successful phenomenon known as Richard Marx is back.

Marx has sold over 30 million albums and maintained equal acclaim as a producer and songwriter. Throughout the duration of his 20-plus-year career, Marx has written 13 No. 1 songs for artists such as Keith Urban and N*SYNC.

In 1987, Marx kicked off his solo career with his debut single, “Don’t Mean Nothing,” and his self-titled debut album that went on to sell three million copies. In 1989, Repeat Offender, became even more successful, selling over 7 million copies worldwide, according to RichardMarx.com.

From 1987 to 1990, Marx made history when he became the first male solo artist to have his first seven singles reach the top five on Billboard’s singles chart. Among those hits were “Hold On to the Nights,” “Satisfied,” and the worldwide classic “Right Here Waiting.” He still holds the record.

Among the big names he has written music for include *NSYNC, Barbra Streisand, Josh Groban, Vince Gill, 98°, Luther Vandross, Kenny Rogers, Sarah Brightman, Lara Fabian, Sister Hazel, The Tubes, and SHeDAISY. Most recently, he has written and produced records for Daughtry, Leann Rimes, Katherine Jenkins, Travis Tritt, Emerson Drive, Natalie Cole, Keith Urban, Paulina Rubio, Kenny Loggins, Chris Botti, Michael Bolton, and actor Hugh Jackman.

Marx has won countless awards over the years, including a Grammy. Now, he’s back with his upcoming album, Stories to Tell.
