Richie recovers after car accident

After being rear-ended by a paparazzo in Los Angeles on Monday, Nicole Richie is recovering at her home where she lives with Joel Madden and their two children, according to People.

Richie spent a few hours at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the accident. E! online reported that although there were no paramedics at the scene of the accident and that the cars only appeared to be scratched and dented, Richie was complaining of some pain and was being consoled by Madden afterwards.

The paparazzo who crashed into the actress, Eduardo Arrivebene, was later arrested for driving without a license. He was released from jail on $1,225 bail. Richie is reported to have hired an attorney after the accident.
