Ricky Gervais may never be able to stop dissing celebrities, but he’s not going to be taking on any more hosting duties.
The UK’s Mirror reported the comedian has called it quits on his awards show career and doesn’t plan on reprising it in the near future.
"I've told my agent to never let me be persuaded to [host] again," he blogged. "It's like a parachute jump. You can only really enjoy it in retrospect when you realize you didn't die and it was quite an amazing thing to do."
However, according to Us Weekly, Gervais also wrote that he had “fun” hosting the Golden Globes Sunday night.
While he was banned from cursing on air, Gervais got in his fair share of jabs, starting of the show by poking fun at Kim Kardashian, Mel Gibson and Jodie Foster.
"The crowd were great this year too," he wrote on his blog. “I think they finally worked out that my gags only seemed rude and nasty but were actually not too scary at all. Or they were just drunker. Either way, it was fun..."
Last year Gervais came under a lot of fire for his controversial blasts at celebrities like Charlie Sheen and Hugh Hefner.
