Ridley Scott to Direct Monopoly
Scott recently directed Body of Lies.
Ridley Scott has signed on to direct a big-screen version of Monopoly, and now one must ask, "Where's the adaptation of Candy Land?"
The Gladiator director will healm the large-budget Universal Pictures film, whose script was written by Pamela Pettler.
If Pettler's work gives any clue about the quality of Monopoly, then it should be fantastic.
She previously wrote the scripts to cartoon features Monster House, The Corpse Bride and 9, which is currently being produced by Tim Burton and Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov.
Scott has been attached to Monopoly for a long while, and will both direct and produce the film.
