It seems we haven’t seen the last of Chris Brown and Rihanna together after all. The two are collaborating on a new song.
Hot97's Miss Info confirmed that the old couple is teaming back up to record a remix to Rihanna’s song “Birthday Cake.” The song’s co-producer Da Internz, told MTV news that the new song is going to be a shock to fans.
Miss Info also reports that Chris recorded both a singing verse and a rap verse for Rihanna’s song. It is unknown which cut will make the final song.
It’s been three years since Chris was convicted of assault and the couple split. While Chris has recently gotten some backlash from the public after his Grammy performance. The Washington Post reports that many took to Twitter to talk of why Chris shouldn’t be forgiven for his 2009 assault.
While many seem to not be able to forgive Chris for his past, it seems Rihanna has. She recently tweeted a lyric that along with her recent collaboration news seems to have something to do with Chris.
“They can say say whatever, Ima do whatever… No pain is forever, YUP! YOU KNOW THIS.” @rihanna tweeted.
Perhaps this is the stars way of showing the world that she has chosen to move forward and hearing Chris on her new track will prove she has.
