Rihanna May Testify Against Chris Brown
Pop star Rihanna may have to appear in a preliminary hearing for rapper Chris Brown, Entertainment Weekly reported. This hearing will determine whether or not there is enough evidence against Brown for the courts to pursue a full-blown trial against him.
Donald Etra, Rihanna's lawyer, has said that the DA has advised that she will most likely be subpoenaed to testify against Brown, and if that is the case, she will definitely comply.
In March, Brown was charged with assault likely to cause bodily injury and making criminal threats following a Feb 8 incident between him and Rihanna in his car.
In April, he pleaded not guilty to those charges, despite leaked evidence against him that included the photo of a battered-looking Rihanna.
The preliminary hearing will take place on June 22 at the Los Angeles County Superior Court, and may, as well, be the first time people hear Rihanna's side of what transpired in that car on that fateful day.
