Rihanna to Speak with Sawyer About Assault
Nine months after the shocking assault incident, Rihanna is ready to go public with her story.
The singer, whom Chris Brown physically abused in February, has not yet spoken to any media outlets about the incident. Brown, on the other hand, has issued statements and given interviews.
Now, Rihanna is apparently willing to break her silence, as she will appear on "Good Morning America" to sit down for a discussion with Diane Sawyer, reports ABC.
The interview will air on Thursday and Friday at 7 a.m. (November 5 and 6) and again during "20/20" on Friday at 10 p.m.
Among other issues, Rihanna will talk about growing up in Barbados, her family, and how she has been coping with the pain and moving on with her life.
The decision to appear on television is close time wise to the debut of her new album "Rated R," which will be dropped on November 23.
