Rihanna To Testify at Chris Brown's Hearing

Celebrity singer Rihanna will be called to the stand to testify on June 22 at Chris Brown's preliminary hearing.

According to the Associated Press Rihanna's attorney says she will appear at the hearing next month in the assault case against Chris Brown. She will appear as a possible witness. People.com reports that the June 22 hearing is to determine if there's enough evidence to go ahead with the trial. Brown has already pleaded not guilty to the alledged beating of Rihanna on February 8. If convicted he could face almost five years in prison.

According to Radaronline.com Brown is charged with threatening and beating Rihanna, his girlfriend at the time.Brown's lawyer could not convince the judge to grant him access to police records in order to find out who leaked the photo of Rihanna's injuries. Experts have said that the case will end with a plea deal and it is not likely it will go to trial.
