Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr denied that he would make an appearance with Paul McCartney at the 2012 London Olympics yesterday at the Mojo Awards in London.
Starr put rumors to bed that the two remaining Beatles would perform together when he told Sky News, “I'll be touring America so I won't be doing it."
An insider of the Olympics’ opening ceremony told The Sun that they had hopes to reunite the two to make it “extra special.”
"There's also the possibility that George Harrison and John Lennon could be represented by their kids,” the insider continued. "The Beatles are loved all over the world so it's a no-brainer that they should be represented at the Olympics."
The last time McCartney and Starr performed together was at David Lynch’s 2009 benefit concert.
