Rip Torn Arrested for DUI

Rip Torn has been arrested for drunk driving outside of New York City, after he refused a breathalyzer test, following a car accident.

Sergeant Joseph Lutz, of the North Salem Police Department, told E! News the actor was driving when he collided with a tractor trailer, while making a turn. He was then met by officers who suspected alcohol was involved in the incident, but Torn declined all tests.

"It's a bunch of bulls---. The truck hit me. I didn't do anything," the Westchester County Journal News quoted the actor as saying, outside the police station. The newspaper reported that his eyes were bloodshot and his speech slurred.

The actor's license was suspended and he was released without bond, according to E! News.

"Because he was a refusal, he was arraigned and will now have to reappear in North Salem for another hearing to prove that he wasn't intoxicated," a police spokesman told E! Online.
