Roache Joins "Law and Order"
It is hard to escape the franchise that is "Law & Order." The cop drama has spawned many spin-offs and has been, in its original form, running for 18 years. Linus Roache has been signed on to play an exec assistant DA, the position left vacant by Sam Waterston's character, Jack McCoy's promotion. McCoy was granted a promotion because Fred Thompson left. "I've known Linus' work for several years," said "L&O" creator Dick Wolf. "He is an actor who totally gets inside his roles. I think he and Sam are going to raise the bar and add intellect and passion in the back half of the show.""L&O" is getting ready for the premiere of it's 18th season early next year. Roache was originally going to be on the new drama "Canterbury's Law," but now it will be turned into a guest spot. Roache is known for his role in "Batman Begins."
